This week we have three research tips, two LinkedIn posts about buyer personas that don't suck, and one mega buyer persona database.
How to get users and customers on a call?
We came across this question on Twitter, and thought it made for a great persona = people tip.
My Top 3 tips for getting customers on a call.
1. Build a relationship with them.
Create a space where they can ask questions, share concerns, share insights etc.
2. Have a great product.
When people love using your product, they usually want to talk to you about it, and share with you their experiences.
3. Talk with them.
Yes, talking with customers/users begets more talking with customers/users. If you do it once, you’ll find it’s easier to do over and over again.
A lot of buyer persona information out there is copycat and produces lack luster results. I love to say that buyer personas suck, but they don't have to! With that in mind I wanted to share two LinkedIn posts that nailed it when it came to understanding the importance of a detailed and accurate buyer persona.
At Best Buyer Persona we created the largest buyer persona database the internet has ever seen (or at least that we've ever seen)
We compiled all the latest and greatest content on buyer personas.
Want to watch a youtube video about creating personas? We gotch you.

Hey Reader, Have you heard the saying, "when you make an assumption, you're making an ass out of u and me" Crude as it may be, it helps me to remember the spelling and that assumptions are usually wrong. This week we're talking about how to eliminate assumptions, the power of social listening in your research, and sharing a LinkedIn post that nailed it on buyer personas. 1.
